Ratae Players – Murder With Love
“Murder with Love”
by Francis Durbridge
directed for Ratae by Mary Jones
Author Francis Durbridge was born just over 100 years ago and became one of our country’s most prolific crime writers. So much of his work was for radio or television, that even if you think you have never heard of him you have probably seen or heard something he wrote.
He produced 22 TV series, 35 crime novels, 7 plays for the stage and 30 radio plays and created the character of Paul Temple – maybe you can whistle that television theme tune! Francis Durbridge believed in creating suspense by keeping the audience guessing and he continued that approach in Murder with Love
Not so much a “Who done it?”
but rather … “Can he get away with it?”
